Discrete Mathematics Letters uses the single-blind peer-review model (that is, the reviewers know the authors’ identities but the authors do not know the reviewers’ identities). This journal relies on its editorial board members and referees to evaluate a paper for publication. Upon submission, every manuscript is initially evaluated by one or more members of the editorial team. Those manuscripts which pass this initial screening are sent to at least two referees for more detailed evaluation; this evaluation is called the external review process. Those manuscripts which do not pass the initial screening test are rejected without their external review process. Once the referees’ reports on a manuscript are received, they are sent to the corresponding author with an appropriate decision.
